Welcome to the Cross & Vitti Streets Neighborhood Master Plan page.
The Town of New Canaan Planning & Zoning Commission has undertaken an in-depth planning study of the commercial properties within Cross and Vitti Streets. We retained the services of Dodson & Flinker who conducted the study in conjunction with Brovitz Community Planning & Design and Planimetrics.
This study was conducted in response to the 2014 Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD) which recommends studying the business portion of Cross and Vitti Streets further. The POCD also discusses and outlines several concepts and areas of need and how they affect the study area as well as the downtown as a whole. We are seeing increased interest in development in and around the downtown and feel Cross and Vitti Streets have great potential for change. Our goal is to guide change in a manner that benefits you and the entire town. The POCD can be viewed on the town’s website by navigating to the Planning and Zoning Department page.
