New Canaan Medicare recipients are fortunate to have the year-round assistance of Dick Neville who assists those who are new to Medicare or who want to re-evaluate Medicare plans by appointment on a twice monthly basis. People who are turning 65 can have all their Medicare questions answered as Dick walks you through the process of applying for Medicare A, B, C, D and supplemental plans. Medicare D Open Enrollment 

In the fall Dick is joined by Harvey Place, Kevin McMahon, and Sally and Kim Campbell who have helped hundreds of New Canaanites to evaluate and sometimes change their prescription drug plans. In the twelve years Lapham has offered this service, 4,443 New Canaanites have saved $1,654,612 in prescription drug costs and premiums. WOW!

 Medicare Part D (Prescription Drug) Open Enrollment is October 15-December 7 Take the guesswork out of your prescription drug coverage! Make an appointment with one of our trained counselors and receive unbiased, easy-to-understand information to help you compare Medicare Part D plans and choose the one that is right for you. For your appointment you will need to bring:

*             your NEW Medicare card

*             current supplemental insurance card

*             current prescription drug plan card

*             all your prescription drugs in a bag (or a detailed list from your pharmacy)

 Also, this year the Medicare “Plan Finder”, which the volunteers use to assist you, has changed significantly by adding a security feature using the “MyMedicare.gov” account available to Medicare beneficiaries. If you have such an account, please bring your user name and password. If you do not, the volunteers will assist you in establishing one.
