Submit a Response for our POCD Community Survey! Open until September 30th
New Canaan is updating our Plan of Conservation & Development (POCD), which the State requires be updated every ten years to establish a vision and objectives that address housing, economic development, parks and open space, historical and natural resources, and sustainability, among other topics. We last updated our POCD in 2014.
We are asking those who live or work in New Canaan to complete a survey, so we can better understand how the community feels about New Canaan in its current state and where it should be heading. Future public engagement opportunities will build upon these survey results. We recommend that you set aside approximately 20-25 minutes to complete the survey. The next public engagement opportunity will be a community workshop with the Planning & Zoning Commission’s POCD Sub-Committee and SLR Consulting on October 26th.
The survey is open September 11- September 30 and can be accessed via the link or QR code below. Paper copies are available at the Planning & Zoning Office located in the Lower Level of Town Hall at 77 Main Street.
For further information, contact: Sarah Carey, Town Planner at 203-594-3042
Thank you in advance for participating in the survey.
