METRO-NORTH RAILROAD BRIDGE OVER ROUTE 106:

We have been informed by the State DOT that they are planning a construction project entitled “Slope Stabilization of Metro North Railroad Bridge No. 1302R over State Route 106.” The total construction period is from July, 2006 to November, 2007. It will be necessary to detour traffic around the construction site “during three weekend periods and for night-time weekday operations.” During detour periods, Old Stamford Road (Route 106) will be closed in both directions at the following intersections: Weed Street and Route 106 and Lapham Road and Route 106. We expect more information on this matter to be forthcoming from the State. We will keep you informed. In the interim, if you have any questions, please contact Mr. Peter Williamson (DOT) (860) 594-2775.
