Connecticut State Law requires all dogs 6 months of age or older to be licensed in the town of residency. Proof of current rabies vaccination and spaying or neutering, if applicable, must be provided at the time of the application. Individuals who license after the June 30th deadline may have to pay a late fee.

Licensing your dog is a fun thing to do!
If you choose to license your dog in person, you can bring your dog with you, and we will make a big fuss over your pet…we will also administer dog biscuits and hugs, and within minutes your dog will be licensed and legal!

Fees are as follows:

Males $19.00
Females $19.00
Neutered Males $8.00
Spayed Females $8.00

License period is July 1st through June 30th.

For the convenience of our residents, renewal reminder forms are mailed in late May for currently licensed dogs.

Late fees accrue at $1.00 per month on delinquent renewals.
